Thomas F. Praiss, Senior Trust Administrative Officer, is responsible for administrative matters related to trusts, IRA and investment management accounts and compliance.
Mr. Praiss is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Enrolled Agent (EA). He received his CFP certification in 1981 from the College for Financial Planning, Denver, Co. and was admitted to practice as an Enrolled Agent before the Internal Revenue in 1976. He holds a BA degree in economics from La Salle University, Philadelphia, PA and graduated from the National Trust School at Northwestern University in 1975.
Prior to joining The Philadelphia Trust Company, he spent over 30 years in the personal trust and tax areas of major Philadelphia bank Trust Departments before retiring from First Union National Bank where he served as the State Director for Pennsylvania and Delaware Charitable Funds Services Division.
Mr. Praiss is a member of the Philadelphia and South Jersey Estate Planning Council, the Trust Counselors Network, the Philadelphia Corporate Fiduciaries Society and the Financial Planning Association Tri-State Chapter. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Cadbury Continuing Care Retirement Community, Cherry Hill, NJ.
